OFFICIAL REPORT.
PETROGKRAD, November 26. There was ,a popular demonstration upon the announcement that the Russians had taken prisoner an army corps at Lodz. It is officially reported:—'Fighting near Lodz continues. Masses of Germans who made an incursion, into East Lodz are hard pressed and are'making a supreme effort to break through northwards. "We captured south of Koluszki prisoners and heavy artillery and field guns- We'were victorious at Lowicz district, and had the advantage at and Cracow. We also enveloped considerable Austrian forces beyond the Carpathians near Mezaloborz, capturing a general, forty officers, 2.500 men, three railway trains and machine guns. We occupied Komona-
