The German submarine UlB was detected off Northern Scotland during the morning. A patrol boat reported that she had rammed her at noon. The submarine was not again sighted for an hour, when the crew was seen on deck flying a white flag. The destroyer .*_.•_•.' came alongside as the submarine.foundered and rescued three officers and twenty-three of the crew. One was drowned.
