THE FEARSOME GURKHA.
ENEMY PARALYSED WITH TERROR
(Press Assn.—Reed. 8.20 a.m.)
LONDON, November 24
During a charge in Belgium the Highlanders encountered wipe entanglements while under heavy fire.
The check was apparently fatal, but the Gurkhas wriggled through the wire with kukris in hand and disappeared in the German trenches, shouting their battle cry. Thefre was awful tumult and carnage, and the surviving Germans lied into their own entanglements. Very few were taken prisoners, and all those captured were paralysed with terror.'
