Fierce Fighting at Messines.
HEAVY GERMAN LOSSES
THREE CRACK PRUSSIAN REGIMENTS ANNIHILATED.

The "Times' " Calais correspondent reports fierce fighting at Messines. The British during night attack captured a series "of trenches, but were forced to retire with the loss of ten officers and two hundred men. The Germans lost two thousand.
Later the British took part in a general assault in which three crack Prussian regiments were annihilated. The British loss was light. .
