THE COURT'S FINDING

AUCKLAND, Sept. 16,
The Court of Inquiry into the wreck of the barque Joseph Craig found that the wreck was caused by the breaking cf the tow line owing to the barque being struck by a severe squall. There was also error of judgment on the part of the master in attempting to weather the vessel instead of droppi' _ anchor immediately the line parted. The court ordered the master of tho'. barque to pay the costs of the inquiry.
