COUIDN'T CROSS THE DRINA.
AUSTRIAN EFFORT FOILED.
NISH, Sept. 15,
An official report says that 96,000 Austrians attempted to cross the Drina near Racha.
They temporarily succeeded, but were finally repulsed by bayonet charges, leaving a howitzer battery, a field battery, and six..machine.guns.
The Seventy-ninth Austrian Regiment lost three thousand. Their otHer casualties were ten thousand.
