STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
WORK TO BE RE-COMMENCED,
During the winter months street, making in the borough has been suspended, but the Whangaret Borough Council has now decided to re-start the work.
"Either go on with. the work or take over the machinery," pointedly suggested Mr Alcock (contractor for the metal supply, from Awaroa" Creek), who waited upon the Borough Council last night. "I cannot have money out for the benefit of the public, because I cannot afford it. That's all about it," concluded Mr Alcock.

This proposal \vas agreed to, and- ,- the Mayor informed the deputationici: that the Council intended to proceed with the work.
