AN ACT OF TREACHERY.

LONDON, Sept. 14
The death of Lord Plymouth's son was due to German treachery. A halfsolunin of. Coldstreani Guards was detailed to check the enemy's advance during the Mons retreat. Three 'German officers, disguised in French uniform, informed the officers of the Coldstrearns that a French force was approaching. Later 'the Germans took the Coldstreams by surprise.
