WHANGAREI GOLF CLUB.
The club's links at Hora Hora were again well patroniced on Saturday. Spirited competition was displayed amongst the ladies for a trophy presented by the President (Mr Bentley) for best score oyer nine holes.
The trophy was won by Miss N. Carruth, who put up a splendid performance, as shown by her card, which indicated 48 —7, 41. Other cards handed in were:—Miss Hamilton, 50 —7, 43; Miss Joan Storey, 53—9, 44; • Mrs Bird, 73—25, 48; Mrs Boult, 64—9, 55; Miss Drummond, 70 —12, 58; Mrs Richardson.. 81—25, 62.
