RAID AT WAITAKEREI.
ILLICIT WINE FOE GUM-DIGGEES
AUCKLAND, May 8. The police yesterday visited the Waitakerei ranges, twenty miles from the city, and raided the house of a man suspected of selling wine to gum-dig-gers. In a shed they discovered 250 gallons of wine which was conveyed to the railway station where the cases filled a truck. The owner will be charged with sealing liquor without a license. .
