General Villa describes President Huerta 's insinuation that the Constitutionalists are joining the Americans as a "Satanic" suggestion, adding that if necessary the Constitutionalists are ready to face the two enemies—external and internal.

General Funston (Commanding the American forces) has been ordered to extend operations around Vera Cruz in any manner his discretion dictates.
If hostilities are resumed, the United States Government proposes to appoint Major-General Leonard Wood to .the supreme command. He will advance along the railway to Mexico City, but such a plan is inoperative until the result of the peace negotiations is known.
