TAKAPAU CAMP.

Fine weather again favours the divisional training camp. The day is being devoted to tactical exercise in which practically all the troops are in action, the scheme of operations/being to test principally the efficiency of the control ol; the officers of the various" commands.
, Generals Hamilton and Godley with their staffs - are present.
A patient suffering from diphtheria has boon sent to Waipukurau hospital. The disease apparently was not contracted in camp. The general health of the men is splendid, and the majority seem to be thoroughly satisfied with their lot as soldiers. The General took keen interest in the doings of the troops, asking questions of officers and complimenting them on their work. In an interview, he said the men who had come under his notice were a very fine stamp. The mounted men could ride splendidly. He also expressed himself pleased with the general organisation of the camp under the improved weather conditions.
