HYPNOTIC VALUE.

(To the Editor.) r

Sir, —1 see by your weekly paper of the 3rd inst that your special representative of the Far North .speaks of horses missing in Mangonui district. Please allow me to state that hypnotism will no doubt show them up ' alright. ' Bring me a subject to hypnotise, and by putting the subject under the clairvoyance hypnosis (or , deep sleep) he will tell you where the horses are, or who took them. A wonderful thing is this science of - hypnotism, and Very few people appear to know the value of it yet. In my belief, if it were used more for finding out things like matters of , theft, I believe the latter would soon be a thing of the past. It only wants to be tried and proved a few. times; : then people would begin to acquire more faith in it. But the job is very often to get subjects when wanted. I think they must be afraid of the waking up, but that is the easiest? part Sabout it. -Hoping these few lines may suffice to inform your special repreetc.,sentative of the Far North, —I am, etc., " >t ■ F. R. BURT. Towai.
