RULES OF BOXING.

SYDNEY, Oct. 7.

At the Boxing Conference power was given a referee to have a contestant who is counted out as the result of a blow which, in his opinion, was a foul and which the referee was unable to see struck, examined by a doctor, and if the claim of a foul is upheld such contestant shall be awarded the contest.

The "knockout" was made to include stopping of a contest by any official owing to a contestant being considered in an unfit condition to continue.

The amended rules come into operation on November 1.
