THE ASKWITH ENQUIRY.
A DEADLOCK OCCURS
(By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright)
LONDON, Oct. 4
A deadlock in connection with the enquiry into the Dublin strikes is threatened. The Trade Council claims the reinstatement of the strikers as a preliminary to any settlement.
Mr Healy intimated that the masters refused to dismiss the workers engaged during the strike.
Mr Gosling, on behalf of the men, declared that this was a victimisation and the fight must continue.
Sir G. Askwith, however, continues the enquiry on Monday.
