BRITISH PARLIAMENTARIANS.

DEPARTURE FOR LONDON

PARTY TOO LARGE, TIME TOO

SHORT

FREMANTLE, Oct. 3

The British Parliamentary visitors sailed by the Marathon to-day-for London via South Africa.

Lord Emniott, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Colonies, interviewed, referred to the inadequacy of the time devoted to seeing the colonies. "We feel," he said, "that we have only touched the fringe of things, i think the party was altogether too big and unweildly though it was managed by the authorities in a wenderful manner. Half-a-dozen male members would have sufficed. Furthermore, we should have cut out South Africa and Canada, which are fairly accessible from England, and devoted the extra tfme to Australia."
