THE A.J.C. SPRING MEETING.
SYDNEY, Oct. 4. It is stated that Cadonia, though sore, will start for the Spring Stakes. Gigandra is a strong favourite for the Epsom Handicap, followed by Allured and Cider. It is stated that Merton Lad, who is trained at Warwick Farm, has been tbacked to win £35,000. Beragoon is a hot favourite for the Derby followed closely by Soltano. For the Metropolitan Hallowmas and Emperador are favourites, followed by Beragoon. Showers fell last night but the weather to-day is fine.
