VOLUNTEERING IN ENGLAND. LONDON, Oct 2. The Dowager Lady Smiley has subscribed £ 10,000 to the Ulster fund. She declares that Ulster women desire to take the best stand they can by the side of the noble volunteers. Three hundred agents are organising volunteers in thirty English towns. One thousand joined in Liverpool.
The magistrates of Londonderry have committed two Unionists for trial for rioting on August 26. The Unionists stoned the Nationalists and fired over a hundred shots and broke fifty-seven windows.
