THE GENTLE BURGLAR ABROAD.
NAPIER, Oct. 3
A daring theft was perpetrated yesterday in the shop of Mr W. a jeweller, whilst the prowas engaged in his workroom someone entered the shop and stole £22 from the till as well as a number of gold medals won at swimming contests by Mr Bailey. This was followed by a burglary last night at the residence of Mr VV. Berry, a number of articles of value being removed.
