WELLINGTON, Sept. 8
The first test game between the Australian Rugby team and New Zealand was played on Saturday. Rain fell right through the match, and a decent exhibition of the game was &ere&>r» impdsaible. Ne*v Zealand, despite this drawback, put up a good performance, and experienced no difficulty in accounting for the visitors. The game ended —New Zealand 30. Australia 5.
DUNEDIN, Sept. 8. On Saturday Otago beat Wairarapa —14 to 6.
GREYMOUTH, Sept. 8. Canterbury beat Westland —20 to 5.
