CHARGES OF NEPOTISM.

MINISTERS AND TRAVELLING

EXPENSES,

(By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright)

MELBOURNE, Sept. 5

In the Federal House of Representatives Mr Palmer charged Mr Fisher and other members of the late Ministry with drawing travelling expenses while conducting party political business. He declared that men in high places in a Government who used their power to put their hands into the public treasury and enrich themselves were guilty of a worse offence than a man who put his hands into his master's till.

Mr Tudor and Mr Fraser, members of the former Ministry, warmly repudiated the. charge, and declared that Ministers only drew travelling expenses when on public business.
