EVENING SITTING.
THE ESTIMATES. The Estimates were further considered during the evening sitting. Ihe Native Department vote was passed unaltered after a desultory discussion on the rating of native lands. The Justice Department vote, the Customs Department and Marine votes also passed unamended. When the latter vote was being discussed, on the item for Government steamers, the Minister of Customs (Hon. F. M. B. Fisher), said nothing would be done this year, but next year it wouold be necessary, to provide another steamer to take the place of the Hinemoa, which was rapidly becoming unsafe in a heavy sea. The House adjourned at 2.25 a.m.
