REMARKABLE STATEMENTS

Miss Estelle Stead's book, "My Father," contains some remarkable statements. It declares that the late Mr Stead was to have had the disposal of the late Mr Cecil Rhodes's fortune on the lines laid down by Mr Rhodes. As Mr Stead was violently opposed to Mr Rhodes's war policy Mr Rhodes appointed other trustees. Miss Estelle relates that three weeks after the drowning of her father in the wreck of the Titanic he appeared at "Julia's" bureau and assured the audience that "all I told you is true."
