ACTION TO VETO SALE
LONDON, Sept. 4
Miss Annie Burns, grand-daughter of the poet Robert Burns, has entered an action in the Dumfries Sheriff's Court to veto the sale of the Glen Riddell manuscripts.
As far back as July 24 a cable announced that many protests were being made against the action of the Liverpool Athenaeum in selling for £5000 to an American millionaire the well-known Glen Riddell manuscripts of Burns' poems and letters
