TRAGEDY AT JERILDERIE.
SHEARER BRUTALLY MURDERED,
HEAD BATTERED TO PULP,

SYDNEY, Sept. 5
A brutal murder has been committed at Forest Bridge, near Jerilderie. A shearer was found with his head and face battered to pulp. A cheque was found in his pocket. The murdered man was young and temperate. The supposed motive for the murder was robbery.
