BLACKMAILING A LORD.
EIGHTEEN MONTHS IMPRISONMENT. LONDON, Sept 3. Heinrich Krenionerkothen has been sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment on a charge of blackmailing Lord Rothschild.
\t the preliminary hearing the prosecution stated that Lord Rothschild received a letter demanding £30,000 for a certain society, suggesting an answer by advertisment in ''The Times," and threatening that if Lord Rothschild notified the police or failed to comply, Rothschild and his relatives would be killed. A detective gave evidence as to an advertisement being published agreeing to this. A parcel of bogus money was hidden in the wall of a Convent Street restaurant, where accused, who went to secure it, was arrested after a severe struggle.
