YOUTH SHOT DEAD.

Edgar Evans, aged 14, was shot dead by his companion, Harold Parker, aged 13, with whom and four others he was out shooting yesterday. After lunch one of the party loaded the gun and laid it on the ground. Parker picked it up, not knowing that it was loaded, and pulled the trigger, shooting Evans, who was only a few feet away.
