WEST'S PICTURES
A good house witnessed the change of programme at the Lyceum on Saturday. The films submitted were all without exception, far above the average. "In a Garden," a Thanhouser drama, is full of poetry and appealed to all present. The other dramas, "Written in the Sands , ' (a Vitagraph romance) and "The Road to Yesterday," drew forth loud applause. "Paper Manufacture" is the finest educative picture ever seen in Whangarei. It is 1000 ft. long. "The Sehavoni Troupe," a coloured vaudeville film, showed four famous acrobats and tumblers" at work. The comedies were laughter-compelling, "The Two Cinders" being particularly funny. This programme will be screened to-night and to-morrow night.
