1) U B L I C NOTICE. HIKURANGI TOWN DISTRICT. BY-LAWS. Public notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Hikurangi Town Board, held on Tuesday, the 25th day of Februai-y, 1913, at the office of the said Board at Hikurangi, it was resolved by way of Special Order that the Hikurangi Town Board do make and enact a By-law, the object and purport of which is as follows:— (a) Containing introductory and interpretation clauses. (b) Regulating the construction and Jbrniation of streets and footpaths, and providing for the taking over of private streets. (c) Regulating the erection and repair of buildings, and providing that plans of proposed new buildings be submitted for the Board's approval, and also prescribing minimum specifications for the erection and repair of wooden buildings. (d) Defining an "inner" or "brick" and an " outer " area. (c) Prescribing minimum area and, ' frontage to streets for the erecj tion of buildings. (f) Regulating the removal of house refuse. (g) Making provision for signing and serving of notices and issue of ' licenses. ! (h) The licensing of vehicles plying J for hire a.nd.mode of obtaining 1 licenses. i (i) Inspection of vehicles and regulating of vehicular traffic, (j) Licensing of pedlars and hawkers, (k) Defining and licensing itinerant traders. (I) Regulating " motor " traffic. (m) The good rule and government of the Town District. (II) Providing penalties for breaches I of By-laws. (o) Amending existing by-laws relating to licensing of vehicles and pedlars and hawkers, road formation, and taking over of private streets and erection of buildings.
