DALGETY AND CO.'S REPORT.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report: — At Westfield on Wednesday there was a large yarding of beef. Prices on the whole were lower than last week. Prime ox made up to £1 8/ per lOOlbs., ordinary quality £1 5/ to £1 6/, cow and heifer beef £1 1/ to £1 4/. Veal.—A large yarding sold at late rates. Heavy runners £2 15/ to £3. 10/ choice suckers £1 12/ to £2 6/, others 3/ to £1 2/. Sheep.—An average yarding. Prices were much the same as last quotations. Choice heavy wethers sold at IS/ to £1 2/, medium 16/ to 17/6, heavy ewes 15/ to 18/, medium weight 13/ to 14/6, light and inferior 8/ to 12/. Lambs. —An average yarding, space not being available at the freezing works for saleyards stock. Prices were lower by 1/6 per head. Heavy show lambs brought £1 1/6, heavy woolly 12/ to 14/9, heavy shorn 11/ to 12/6, medium woolly 9/ to 11/ shorn medium weights 8/ to 9/6. Pigs.—There was a large yarding. Choppers made £2 8/ to £2 18/, heavy porkers £1 16/ to £2 4/, light 18/ to £1 6/, weaners 5/ to 7/.
