MR. BEEBY'S POSITION IN POLITICS.
OUTLINE OF POLICY

Mr. Beeby, late Minister for Lands, speaking at Armidale, outlined a policy for a National Parliamentary party, of which he is the prospective leader. The policy includes:— Summoning a national convention to consider rearrangement of the Federal compact. Extension of the Referendum. The abolition of machine politics and modification of the system of party politics in the State Parliament. An elective Ministry. National insurance against sickness, accident, and unemployment. A Board of Trade to administer all industrial law. The codification of all laws relating to employer and employee. Improvement of the hospital system, the increased expenditure thereby entailed to be met by tax of sport and the proceeds of the totali-. sator.
