WEST'S PICTURES.
Some capital pictures were screeneo last night at the Lyceum Cinema. "Lumbering in Australia" is a very beautifully coloured educational picture, and was well received. " Twixt War and the Girl " is a very good drama, well staged, and with fine appointments and scenery. The plot is a good one, and well acted throughout. " Paving the Price " and " The Better Man" are two Western dramas, well above the average. " Wiffles and His Portrait" is a capital comedy. The programme will be repeated to-night and to-morrow night. Mr. de Tourret has made arrangements to screen the famous Carnegie Expedition picture— " Through Alaska and Siberia," a 4000 ft film—on the 18th and 19th inst. Seats may be booked at the studio for both days. _________
