-1" (Own Correspondents HOUSEHOLDERS' MEETiNG. The above meeting was held in the public school on 27th May at 7 p.m., w&en Mr Hodge presided. The minutes of the last annual meeting were lead and confirmed. REPORT AND BALANCE-SHEET. -The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The latter showed that £8 3s 7d was carried forward from last year and the receipts from the Board of Education during the year amounted to £16 3s 3d. For the same period the general expediture was £18 6s 7d, leaving a credit balance of £6 Os 3d to be carried forward. Twentyone children's names are on the roll at the east school, with Miss Kane in charge, and M on the west school roll, with Mr of. Lord in charge. Both teachers are discharging their duties j most satisfactorily. j ELECTION CF A SCHOOL COM- \ MITTEE. ! Messrs R. McDonald, C. Whimp, M. Jopes, W. A. Hutchings, J. Lord, R. Hodge, and E. Tremaine weie nominated and duly elected a committee for the ensuing year. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the householders' meeting. SUBSEQUENT MEETING. According to rules the above,meeting was held immediately after the householders' meeting. Wr Whimp proposed that Mr Hodge be the chairman of tho committee. —Seconded aby Mr E. Tremaine and carried. Mr THodge proposed that Mr Hutchings be the treasurer and countersign cheques.—Seconded by Mr Lord and carried. v . Accounts amounting to £3 12s lid were presented and duly passed for payment, being accounts accrued and, due since the date of balance-sheet on March 31st 1912. Mr Hutchings proposed- and Mr Lord seconded that a small gate be erected for the school children's convenience.—The motion was carried, having been recommended by the meeting of householders. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the n-eeting. ' ACCIDENT. Mr C. F. Hardy misfortunately or Friday evening- was thrown from his horse and sustained painful injuries .in the vicinity of the shoulder, anc was taken to Whangarei in a vehicle the same evening.
