NEW YORK, Feb. 15
Professor Parker, of Columbia University, made an ' attempt to scale Mount McKinley. He encountered heavy ice when three miles from his destination and was forced to return. The professor will make another attempt overland.
Mount McKinley (20.464 ft) is the highest peak in the North American continent, and is situated ii Alaska. The peak is surrounded by glaciers.
