The blocks to be offered are the pick of the River, namely, the Awakino Block, adjoining the Borough of Dargaville, of 2000 acres, and the | celebrated Omana Block, of 10,000 \ acres, considered the finest block of land North of Auckland. These blocks are being thoroughly roaded, and have been subdivided into farms of from 60 to 250 acres, the smaller areas being rich alluvial flats. Fourteen miles of new roads are being made in these subdivisions. This will be the most important subdivision of land yet held in the Auckland province. The North Auckland railway route goes right through the centre of Omana, where there are 3000 acres of the richest river flats in the Dominion v \vith permanent shingle streams.
