None of the shipping companies are accepting cargoes for Brisbane, although they are booking passengers.
Mr Griffiths says that every prominent Labor politician regarded a strike as an obsolete weapon, and a general strike as a nice blend of imbecility and barbarism.
The steamer Pilbarra had to bring back her cargo from Brisbane, as she was unable to discharge it in consequence of the strike.
