IRISH HOME RULE.

THE FISCAL ASPECT. INDEPENDENCE DEMANDED. (Received Jan. 12, 8.19 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 11. At the Royal Economic Society's Congress numbers of papers on the financial aspects of Home Rule were read. They generally demanded the fiscal independence of Ireland. Lord MacDonnell, presiding, declared that fiscal autonomy was attainable without counting the possibility of serious danger to Britain. He suggested, in order to ascertain the Irish revenue, the establishment of a Customs organisation at Irish ports, Britain making goodl the differences to which Ireland was entitled under the Act of Union. He opposed the withdrawal of Irish representatives from Westminster.
