NOT FAVORED BY SHAREHOLDERS

LONDON, May 2.
In their Waihi mine report the dfrectors emphasise that there are no> ore bodies below the ninth level tesfetfNevertheless, though the mine has lost for the present the quality and stability which it was believed to possess,, the potentialities are enormous. Three hundred and eighty-seven New Zealand shareholders, representing 33,600 V shares, oppose the transfer to a Board in Ne-\f Zealand. The directors do not: believe that the British shareholders, who own seventy percentum of tlte shares , , desire the control to be given to New Zealanders.
