RECIPROCITY AGREEMENT.
DESIGNS ON CANADA REVEALED. "ONE PEOPLE AND ONE GOVERNMENT."
(Received May 3, 8.41 a.m.)
WASHINGTON, May 2
Debating the Free List Bill in the House of Representatives, Mr Madden, of Wisconsin, hoped that some day Canada would be part of the United States as one people, one flag, with one Government. It would be better for all when such came to pass if ever It did.
Speaking in the Senate, Mr Stone denounced the alleged unjust propaganda to defeat reciprocity. He hoped that freer trade with Canada would result. American people ought not to be alarmed by stories of ruin.
Mr Gallinger said that America had lost ten million dollars revenue without any adequate return.
