WARATAH INQUIRY.
PROMENADE DECK MOVED BODILY.

LONDON, Dec. 17.
At the Waratah inquiry Mr Herbert stated that he called the engineers' attention to the movement of the promenade deck. The whole wooden structure moved bodily athwart ship Some bolt heads were broken off the woodwork around the saloon door, which was separated from the ironwork to the extent of a couple of inches.
