(Received December 19, 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 17. There remain only six seats to be accounted for out of the 670, and the majority of the Government party stands at 122. Government 393 Unionists 271 The Government party comprises 225 in England, 59 in Scotland, 27 in Wales, and 82 in Ireland. The Unionists comprise 238 in England, 11 in Scotland, 3 in Wales, and 19 in Ireland. PLURAL VOTING. The Master of Elibank declares, on the authority of Mr Asquith, that Government propose a bill to abolishing plural voting. A NASTY THING TO SAY., Mr Ormsby Gore, Unionist, who was elected fjr Denbigh, protests against Mr Lloyd-George's speech at Denbigh, in which he said that it was better that a man's right arm should be paralysed than that he should vote for Mr Gore. PARLIAMENT BILL. The "Spectator" considers that both parties will be disappointed at the result of the elections. Each holds an important card. It will be desirable to settle the Parliament Bill by an agreement arrived at by means of private talks, and not by formal conferences.
