BEAUTIFYING SYDNEY.
RESUMPTION OF SLUM AREAS

SYDNEY, Sept. 20
The Works Committee of the City Council endorsed the Lord Mayor's proposal to resume several further slum areas in pursuance of the Sydney improvement scheme. The cost of re-modelling- will be £107,000, the present properties representing a sotoff of £57,000.
