IRISH PARTY'S RECEPTION.

Mr W. J. Bryan, of the United States, and his wife were guests of the Irish party at a dinner at the House of Commons. Mr Bryan cordially invited Messrs Redmond, O'Connor, and Devlin to his home in Nebraska during their forthcoming visit.
Mr William Jennings Bryan, who was born at Salem, Illinois, in iB6O, is a lawyer by profession. He became a member of the Senate in 1892. On three occasions he has been defeated for the Presidency— in 1896 and 1900 by Mr McKinley, and in 1908 by Mr Taft.
