THE SHEARERS STRIKE.
POLICE. Press Association.— Copyrights Sydney, August 28. A force of shearers proceeded to Wingadee with the intention of taking from their, huts the non unionist shearers. The police confronted the men Krho were masked and armed with sticks. Some of the sticks were thrown at the police, who then fired in the air, the shearers made off.
