VOLUNTEER NOTES.
MAESDEN MOUNTED RIFLES. The second day's firing for the Lieutenant's Cup took place on Saturday, 23rd inst., the Whangarei division only taking part at the rifle range here. The wind was blowing from the north-west, and flukey, and the light not all that could be desired. The following are the results : — 300 yds rapidity match, 7 shots to be fired in 35 seconds. Corpl.
