Auckland, Friday. Buttee, factory, wholesale lOJd, retail 1/ ; first quality dairy wholesale 6d, retail 8d; second quality wholesale sd, retail 6d ; third quality wholesale 4d, retail 5d ; cheese 4£d to 4fd ; fresh eggs 8d dozen per wholesale, lOd retail ; laid GJd per lb« i GRAIN AND HORSE-FEED. Demand not brisk but supply ample. We quote :— Oats 2/G to 2/9 per bushel : maize lib to 2/9 ; oaten chaff £3 to £i per ton. Few hides were pitched and moderate quantities of sheepskins, a good many lots of wool in small packages and bidding good. We quote :— Extra stout 3d to 4Jd ; medium 2|d to 3d ; cow and steer l£d to 2£d ; calfskins 2j[d to 3£d per lb : sheepskins local 2d to 5d ; country 1/1 to 4/6 : pelts Id to lOd; lambskins lOd to 1/6 ; tallow 15/ to 19/ per cwt ; bones £3 per ton ; wool fleece 4/ to 6fd per lb ; pieces 2fa to 4dper lb. HORSES. Increased activity, large number brought forward and purchased. Good competition. We quote :— Hacks £4 15/ to £9 17/6 ; light harness and medium draught £6 and £15 10/ ; heavy draught £14 to £21 ; light and medium unbroken colts £3 10/ to £12 10/. Figs were scarce and Boldfieely 2£dper lb ' live weight. Porkers from £1 5/ to £1 12/ ; weaners 8/6 to 10/6.SHEEP. A good many were penned, on Tuesday, nearly all shorn, competition steady. No rery prime sheep penned. Wethers 10/ to 13/3 ; ewes 9/ to 13/ ; stores 6/ to 10/ ; lambs 6/6 to 10/6. ' Cattle 62 ttU descriptions were in better demand and prices in favour of vendor. Fat' heists advanced 2/ per 100 lbs, ranging 19/ to 22/ per 100 lbs. Average fat steers £7 19/4 to - £7 6/3; cows £6 15/ to £5 5/. ' | Fruit was in good supply.
