j FOOTBALL HATCH. 0W Saturday last a football match was played between the Mangapai footballers and a team from Waipu. The weather [ wbb favourable, and everything passed 1 off pleasantly. For Waipu, Butlaud got ' three tries and kicked a goal, D. McLean 1 two tries, and N. McKay one try. G. 1 Cooke played back for Waipu, who did 1 just as they liked with the Mangapai : team. Stevens captained the Waipu ■* team, and J. Dwyer the Mangapai team. ' Waipu, Bntland and D. McLean j played a good game, as also did Dwyer I and gloane for Mangapai. The total 3 scores were, Waipu six tries and one 1 goal, and Mangapai nil.
