OUR AUCKLAND LETTER.
(From our own Correspondent.) D. .H. MDMO'S BANKRUPTCY. Auckland, Tuesday. A iEEETixe of the creditors in this estate was held at the Official Assignee's office at 2.30. this afternoon (Tuesday). There -were present : — The debtor and his solicitor, Mr Baume, and the following creditors, Messrs D. H. McKenzie, Sharpe, McFarlaud, Posseniskie, Morton, and Nicholl. The meeting had been adjourned to allow the debtor to produce certain cash books and prepare statements of accounts. These were now produced and examined. The debtor stated tb at he had drawn £3 a week out of the business. Several creditors expressed their opinions that JVfr Mnnro had beei. most extravagar.t and reckless in bis expenditure, and had kept bfc books iv a most disgraceful state. Mr StcFarlane moved and Mr Sharpe seconded, "That Mr W. B. Buckhurst be asked to collect the book debts, he to be paid at the rate of 10 per cent, for amounts collected up to the amount of £150, and 20 per cent, on any amounts after that amount has been collected." Carried.
