THE CANADIAN DOCTOR'S.
Auckland, Tuesday. THE sensation of the day in this City just now is, undoubtedly the Golden Chariot with its clever occupants, who entice crowds around them daily to see a public exhibition of dentistry and butchery combined. Undoubtedly Madame and M. Duflot have a considerable amount of skill, but why a female who boasts that she could cure in a few minutes eighty per cent of the inmates of our hospitals, should be travelling through the streets of a small colonial city ona " golden chariot," while in the large American and Continental cities there are hundreds of wealthy persons who would be willing to pay fabulous sums for a cure such as this lady guarantees, is a problem I fail to solve. The sensation lias now been worked up to its limit, as one of the Golden patients, after takingsome of th c medicine commenced to vomit freely and finally expired . An inquest was held yesterday, but stands adjourned for a week to allow of the analaysis of the contents of the stomach.
