SERIOUS STABBING.
Christchurch, Thursday.
In the course of a quarrel between two Finnish sailors, at Lyttleton, one named Nelson stabbed the other, Sricksen, in the back. The knife turned against a rib, and the wound, th ough severe is not believed to be mortal. Nelson absconded immediately afterwards.
Bluff, Thursday. j^ndrew Anderson, Swedish sailor, was found dead in the bush alongside the reservoir to-day.
